This morning we were getting some light rain, with morning thundershowers projected. So, since the day was forecast to be cool, I decided to wait and ride in the afternoon.
After lunch with my friend Doug, I set off intending to do three round trips to Marsh Park. But, battling a significant wind convinced me to shorten those plans. (I wanted to call the wind "ferocious," but at 18 mph out of the west northwest, I think it fell short of that descriptor.) With this, I settled for a single round trip, and augmented it just slightly by tacking on one lap in Stonebridge and two laps in our compound (Heatherwood), completing a ride of 13.6 miles in 1:31.
