I went out to ride at 6:45 a.m. today into a crystal clear sky, with not a hint of cloud anywhere. The good thing about this was that even though the sun had not yet quite risen, it was plenty light enough to ride. The bad thing, however, is that it had allowed yesterday's heat to vanish quite completely, so that I began my ride at 36°. However, by the time I finished, about 9:15, it was up to 51°. And throughout the ride, there was almost no wind today (3 mph).
I rode consecutive round trips to Marsh Park, and then tacked o a loop around Meijer and a concluding 4 laps around our condo complex, to push me over the plateau of 700 miles for the year (a milestone I reached on the same date in 2016). Now I need to continue to inch ahead if I'm going to make my goal of 4000 miles for the year, up from 3500 in 2016.
