Today when I went out to ride at 8:00, it was 67° and a pleasant mix of clouds and sun arched overhead. Consequently, I had considered a somewhat longer ride. When I neared home, however, and had to decide whether to turn around and extend my ride, the sky had darkened ferociously, and the wind picked up significantly, portending the thunderstorms that were projected to move into the area this morning. Consequently, I chose to truncate my ride, even though I saw and heard no storms while I was out there.
I rode to Marsh Park, and then, on the way back, turned south to take my loop around Saline High School, and after that down to the intersection of Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. and Woodland Dr. This gave me a 15.6-mile ride in 2:12 ... slow, but then I was battling a wind (from the south, at 19 mph).
